As 19 students celebrated their graduation on 24 August 2023, they are commencing their chosen journey in Baking. Bienvenu Shelter – the Mother Assunta Training Centre has given them the basics, the tools, and the foundation that they need to move forward and become self-sustainable. Many of the women came here with little or no experience in baking.
The baking training is the start of the new beginning and students are hungry and strive to do their best to succeed.
During these three months of their journey, they have learned so many new skills in communication, customer ethics, attitude and cleanliness. They are trained to keep in mind the basics and taught the fundamentals of baking, stock control, sanitation, purchasing and budgeting techniques.
It is now their job to perfect these skills, broaden their knowledge, and experiment with their creativity according to their audience and customer’s needs.
