“A life that is not reflected upon is not worth living”. The staff team of the Bienvenu Shelter enjoyed a reflection day in the lovely location of Lumko Retreat & Conference Centre, in Benoni, on the 30th of April 2025.
After a fulfilling breakfast and a thanksgiving Mass held by Father Arnaldo Nyathi, celebrating the 24th anniversary of Bienvenu Shelter, the team was guided on a reflection on our work as team of the Bienvenu Shelter by Sister Thandi, giving us the opportunity to reflect on our roles within the Organization. Each and every one of the staff members engaged and appreciated the consideration shared on morality and ethics in the workplace, motivation and working as a team for a common goal: bettering the lives of the mothers and children welcomed in our shelter.
We thank Sister Thandi for giving us renewed starting points and time to individually reflect on the mission of serving the Other and taking care of each other.
