On Monday 20th June, Bienvenu Shelter continue celebrating World Refugee Day by welcoming the visit of the Minister of Home Affairs, Honourable Malusi Gigaba and his Deputy Minister Honourable Fatima Chohan, Regional Representative of UNHCR, Ms. Sharon Cooper along with Home Affairs Deputy Director General, Immigration services Mr. Jackie Mckay and many official representatives from Home Affairs.
The celebration of the day proceeded thereafter at The Cathedral Hall where UNHCR Regional representative Sharon Cooper and the Minister Malusi Gigaba presented their official speeches. The celebration was concluded by the Grammy winning Soweto Gospel Choir.
