The start of 2026 brings renewed energy to the Bienvenu Shelter, as daily activities resume across all areas. While a new year often signals new beginnings, at Bienvenu it also represents continuity: the ongoing commitment to care, education and empowerment that guides the Shelter’s work every day.
The academic year has officially begun at the Crèche and the Baby Room, welcoming children back into safe and nurturing learning environments. These spaces support early childhood development through structured activities, play and routine, while offering mothers the reassurance that their children are cared for in a protected and stimulating setting. This support plays a key role in enabling women to focus on training, work and personal growth.
At the same time, the Training Centre has reopened with the start of new editions of the courses aimed at strengthening practical skills and promoting economic independence. From this year, the programme is further enriched by the introduction of a new computer skills course, responding to the growing importance of digital literacy Through these programmes, women are supported not only in learning new competencies, but also in rebuilding confidence and envisioning a more stable future for themselves and their families.
Alongside education and training, the Shelter continues its core work of providing safe accommodation and psychosocial support. Each woman and child is welcomed with respect, dignity and attention to their individual journey.
The work carried out at Bienvenu is made possible thanks to the constant collaboration of donors and partners who believe in the Shelter’s mission. We would like to warmly thank all the donors who accompanied and supported the Shelter throughout 2025, and those who will continue to walk alongside us in 2026. Their support allows programmes to continue, services to grow and plans to become reality.
As 2026 unfolds, the Bienvenu Shelter remains committed to walking alongside women and children, offering not only protection, but the tools and support needed to rebuild their lives with confidence and hope.
