Empowering Futures: Migrant Women Graduate from Livelihood Courses

In a powerful demonstration of dedication and community support, the Bienvenu Shelter celebrated the graduation of 45 migrant women from livelihood courses this month. The Mother Assunta Training Centre held two inspiring ceremonies on September 10th and September 25th, marking the successful completion of training designed to equip the graduates with valuable, market-ready skills.

The graduating class successfully completed courses in Basic Beauty – Nails & Make up, Basic Sewing & Baking and Advance Sewing, all aimed at promoting economic independence and successful integration into the local economy.

The livelihood program is a cornerstone of the Shelter’s mission, focusing on providing practical skills and fostering entrepreneurship among migrant community members. The graduates, many of whom have overcome significant personal and financial challenges, now possess the knowledge and certification to pursue employment or start their own small businesses.

The graduation events were attended by Management, staff, family members, our dear donors and community leaders, all gathered to cheer on the women as they stepped forward into their new professional lives.
