Celebrating new beginnings: women graduated in hairdressing and makeup

An atmosphere of pride, and determination filled the Mother Assunta Training Centre on Tuesday, November 11th, as 19 women proudly graduated from Hairdressing and Makeup courses. The ceremony marked the achievement of 11 women who completed the Hairdressing Course and 8 who graduated from the Makeup Course.

These livelihood courses are part of Bienvenu Shelter’s ongoing work to support migrant and refugee women build more secure, independent lives. Alongside practical skills, the women also strengthened their confidence, gained their dignity giving them courage to restart their lives.

This special moment brought together Management, staff, family members, friends, donors and community members, all gathered to celebrate this important achievement. Our donors from the Netherlands were also with us, and they were able to witness firsthand how their generosity is truly transforming the lives of these women.

For the new graduates, this is not the end of a course, but the beginning of a new chapter. Bienvenu Shelter is committed to walking alongside them on this journey, because every new skill learned, every certificate earned, is a step toward greater dignity, autonomy and hope for the future.
