“I was a stranger and you welcomed me” (Matt 25:35)

A week of welcoming and coming together with a dear friend of the Bienvenu Shelter

We welcomed our dear friend from Holland once again to spend quality time with the management and team of the Bienvenu Shelter from 5 -15 September.

It was a fruitful week of collaboration with Board members and donors and an opportunity to also have lots of fun, games and special moments with the children from the creche, on an outing at St. John The Apostle Parish in Florida.

There was a chance to partake in the graduation ceremony for 16 of our students from the livelihood courses, Make up and Nails, where our dear acquaintance played a major role in handing out the certificates and giving a word of encouragement to every woman whom graduated.

On Thursday 11 September, the team attended a workshop on ’Life in the shadows of Trauma’ facilitated by Pippa and Johanna from Embrace village. Here, our friend also had the opportunity to partake and reflect on such an important topic.

The week concluded with visits, meetings and much words of encouragement in continuing to walk with the most vulnerable women and their children through even more challenging times when more and more doors are closing. We unite in Hope.

God Bless you abundantly.
